This week finds us working on subtraction with regrouping along with problems with zeros. This pesky skill has actually been getting mastered by an overwhelmingly fast rate by my students this year! Kudos to their diligence on this rather difficult concept! Next week (the start of 2nd quarter already) will find us working on counting money and eventually telling time on an analogue clock.
In reading class, we read a story titled A Day's Work. A Test was given Thursday online along with a spelling test on the iPods.
Social studies time has been spent learning about time lines and Jefferson County history. We will continue pioneer studies the next two weeks and a field trip will be taken on Friday, October 26 from 8:30-12:30 to Ward-Meade Park in Topeka. Information will be sent home Monday the 15th on this.
Parent/Teacher conferences have all been scheduled. Please stick to the time slot that has been worked out between us so we both can stay on schedule!
Thanks for all you do!
