This past week we have been working hard on our multiplication facts. The students are trying hard to earn as many toppings for their banana split party in January as possible. We will continue with fact families in math next week along with MAP testing in the mornings of Monday and Tuesday.
In reading next week, we will be testing on the computer and reading some holiday stories along with many other engaging activities. There will not be a story or spelling test next week, so no Family Times will be sent home until after the break.
Science and social studies time has been used to learn about landforms and reading maps. More will be included next week with the use of Google Earth!
The holiday party will be next Thursday, and some of you have signed up to bring treats. A letter was sent home to only the parents that signed up for this. No need to show up for anything, just send the treats with your child or drop them off in the classroom. The party will start in the afternoon.
I hope everyone everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. The students will have a total of 17 days off from school this year, so be sure that your child is practicing their math facts on one of my websites over the break. It will pay off! Reading will do the same!
