Is it me, or has this week flown by? Well, as the weather dips and dives it's way through this rather warm month of January, I find myself feeling thankful for the great weather that we have had!
In math this week, we have continued our studies of our multiplication facts. Remember that an ice cream sundae party will be held next Friday to reward their efforts. I will be sending notes home on Monday regarding what topping item you volunteered to purchase and send with your child. We thank you for this generosity!
In reading this week, we finished a story titled Wings. It was a fantasy that taught us a lesson that being unique can sometimes make a person feel lonely. As this spring semester continues, we will be practicing how to effectively answer questions on the Kansas State Reading Assessment this spring. The questions can be rather difficult to understand, as they are worded differently than what the students are used to seeing in a regular classroom setting.
In science, we have finished up learning about physical science with motion, speed, forces, and how things move. An outcome test was given Thursday on this.
